Blonde Roast Salon
New Bohemian with a touch of Moroccan.
We wanted Blonde Roast to feel hip and young but to still appeal to clientele of all backgrounds and age groups. The New Bohemian aesthetic was a perfect fit. It feels simultaneously well traveled and right at home. Our first order of business was to make acoustic barriers. The salon shares walls with an acupuncturist and a manicurist so we needed to make sure sound drift was cushioned. On one wall we installed sound deadening fiberboard and then covered it with a giant vintage burnt orange Persian rug. On the other side we installed a brick veneer wall and gave it a healthy coat of gallery white.
We rounded out the salon with some great pieces – Antique architectural door arch and church pew, custom mahogany wash station with vintage baby blue shampoo bowl, mid century brass lighting, metal shade tole sconces, vintage brass wall medallion, vintage Erte poster, custom made butcher block hair stations, and re-upholstered 70’s salon chairs.
